Medina Youth Development Program (YDP)

Medina YDP is our structured player development program for ages 6 to 14, running weekly on turf across three Queens locations: Mondays in Bayside, Wednesdays in Jamaica, and Fridays in Flushing. Seven weeks, September 14 through October 30. Every session is led by USSF and UEFA licensed coaches in a friendly environment where every family is welcome.

YDP is what comes after learning to play. Groups are capped at 12 so every player gets coached by name, and the training is built around the four things that make a complete player: technique on the ball, decisions in the game, athleticism, and the character to keep showing up. Ages 6 to 10 build the foundation. Ages 11 to 14 sharpen it under real game pressure.

Every player gets their own ball from minute one. Technical work runs straight into small-sided games, because the game is the best teacher. No lines, no laps, no waiting for a turn. Medina training uniform included with Season Pass purchase

We develop players, not score lines.

What the Session looks like.

Every session follows the same arc: warm up with a ball at your feet, sharpen one technical focus, apply it against real opposition, then play. Players develop ball mastery, first touch, dribbling, decision making, and game awareness through a progression that builds week to week across the season, not drill to drill.

Sessions include:

- Arrival ball work with one ball per player from the moment they step on the field

- One clear technical focus each week, taught with high repetition and low pressure

- Skill games that apply that focus against live opposition

- Small-sided match play, where players get far more touches and decisions than a full-sided game allows

- Real time coaching from licensed coaches on the field, not instruction shouted from the sideline

- A short end of session review where players are asked what they saw, not told what to do

- Equal playing time for every kid in every session

Ages 6 to 10 spend more of the hour on the ball. Ages 11 to 14 spend more of it in the game, where the decisions come faster and the coaching gets sharper.

The program is built on three values. Ihsan: giving your best effort on every rep. Adab: treating teammates, opponents, and coaches with respect. Tarbiyah: growing as a player and as a person every single session.

Still Not Sure?

We know signing up for a new program is a decision. You want to see the coaching in person. You want your child to feel comfortable before you pay. You want to know it is the right fit for your family.

One trial session gives you all of that with no pressure and no obligation. Your child joins a real session, gets coached by professional coaches, plays with the other kids, and experiences exactly what every morning at Medina Club looks like.

If it is the right fit, you register. If it is not, you walk away with nothing owed.

To book a trial session:

Email us at info@medinaclubny.com with your child's name and age and we will get you set up for the next available session.
