Omar Samih

Athletic Director & Head Coach

Omar Samih is the Founder and Head Coach of Medina Club, a New York City–based youth soccer organization built to create belonging through sport.

Born and raised in NYC, Omar spent his entire youth playing career competing across the city’s top programs, winning high school championships and representing respected club sides. His early experiences shaped not only his love for the game, but his understanding of leadership, discipline, and community.

After high school, Omar spent four years in England deepening his understanding of football’s global culture and professional standards. There, he studied player development, coaching structure, and the role sport plays in shaping character.

Since returning to New York, Omar has worked full-time as a professional youth coach, bringing over five years of coaching experience and nearly eight years in youth sports overall. He holds:

• USSF C License
• UEFA C License
• FA Level 1 License
• Degree in Sports Management & Education

At Medina, Omar sets the standard for culture, structure, and care. His mission is simple: deliver high-quality coaching while building a safe, welcoming environment where young athletes can grow in confidence, character, and community — open to families of all backgrounds.
